Googong Dam water quality. Report for ACTEW. This report statistically summarised and interpreted information on Googong Reservoir, over a 10-15 year sampling period. The aim of the project was to better predict offtake water quality at Googong Tower.
Canberra drinking water—statistical analysis volume I and II. Report for ACTEW. This report statistically analysed the 1994 ACTEW drinking water compliance monitoring program, and provided a more cost-effective future monitoring program. Significant financial savings were provided without a loss in the information content of the program.
Statistical methods for water quality sampling programs. Short course provided for a range of clients. This 2 day short course was provided in March 1994 with the help of Prof Jim Loftis and Dr Graham McBride. About 65 people attended from about 50 organisations around Australia.
Integration of water quality and flows database. Report for ACTEW Corporation. This report surveyed users of two large databases, one containing water flow information, the other containing water quality measurements. Users were distributed amongst about 10 organisations, and their needs often covered both water quantity (flow) and water quality information. Users’ needs were determined through a survey and interview process. The report indicated procedures for integrating the two databases, which were running on two different computing networks.
Australian Directory of Coastal and Marine Monitoring (ADCaMM). Database and text files in SGML format for Environment Australia. This project involved surveying Commonwealth government agencies involved in monitoring the environment in Australia’s coastal zone. The survey instrument was developed in both hard-copy and electronic (database) format. All survey returns were entered or collated into a single database. Database output was in the form of SGML files complying with the Data Type Definition provided by Environment Australia, for use in the WWW site being developed by ERIN. The information was linked to ERIN’s GIS.
Second Sydney Airport, summary of public comments on the draft guidelines. Report and database for the Environment Australia. This project processed submissions on the Second Sydney Airport EIS guidelines by registering them in a database and acknowledging their receipt. The submissions were also summarised and the summaries entered into the register database. More than 400 detailed submissions and over 51,000 pro forma submissions were processed.
Natural Heritage Trust review of Management Information Systems. Report for the Natural Heritage Trust. This report provided a review of the Natural Heritage Trust Management Information Systems. The report used a survey instrument to collect some of the key information from Commonwealth, state, and territory governments.
